They also set you voluntary assignments – which allow you to develop a deeper understanding of different parts of the Bible. This is the best way to learn what the Bible has to offer and to develop a deeper understanding of the messages it mentions. If you email the final assignment to the website, they will organise a tutor to support your learning and tell you more about the topic. If you don’t have your own Bible – you could buy one – or you could tell this website that you are looking for the meaning of life –and they will send you one if they can (depending on where you live and how many Bibles they happen to have in stock). Why are they offering to teach the Bible distance learning style? They believe there is something special about the Bible and sincerely home you feel the same way. They want to show you how it is the ‘Word of God’. It does not matter if you are convinced so or not, they just want to share their ideas with you – you have nothing to lose, as it is completely free to participate. They assume you just want to learn more about the Bible. People can be overwhelmed by the size of the project, and so they want to help you start. They do not wish to convert you and will not enter into debate on doctrine. All they want to do is teach you how to read your Bible more effectively and they hope that the Word of God will guide you the rest of the way – wherever your destiny is happening to take you.
