I have researched the different options available for home-schooled children and I have found a national company that offers a free online home school in conjunction with the public school online system. The online school is called Connections Academy and offers a free full curriculum across America for all ages, including elementary, middle school and high school pupils. I really must recommend that anyone looking for free online high schools check out this option. Is this school accredited? The school is fully accredited and works with the individual state charter schools (a public school online)– providing the resources needed. As they work closely with each US charter school, I am confident that they will be following state accreditation, though you should always check this prior to enrolling. Does this online school offer clubs? Connections Academy does offer online clubs, so that the children get to know the other children attending each public school online. Their free online high schools helps to organise field trips (an additional cost) with their partner schools so that all the children at the school regularly meet up. What are the results like for this school? The free online home school site does provide results of both academic success and also of parents satisfaction – both of these are high and I would be confident of my child gaining an excellent education at one of these free online high schools.
