Free online summer school courses.

Are you needing extra lessons? I have been researching different free online summer school courses. While they are few and far between, I have found a few different online school providers, who will give you extra lessons for free.

Why do people offer free summer courses?

It is mainly so that you will come again and again to visit them and see what else they offer - and perhaps buy some of their other interesting courses.

Here is what I found:

Brigham Young University offers a wide range of different courses online. You could easily make them into your own free online summer school. They have extra courses on religion, Mathematics, second languages, and personal development.

http://www.free-ed.net/ offers the largest range of free summer courses I have seen. They would be ideal for anyone worried about the usual slump between the semesters.

The site was well laid out and you can choose between different topics. You can even complete your GED revision online for free - which I thought was pretty impressive.

Even thought this is a free summer school page - many of these courses in fact do run over the whole year - as summer in the north of the globe, is winter in the south and I am keen to give everyone something useful to use.

You can study over 1800 different courses with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - you can download the videos and audio files and so can spend the summer revising real university topics.

Free Offline Summer Camps for teenagers

The final set of pages I discovered - Free summer camps for teenagers. - I am not sure how many are still valid as the site was written in 1998 - has a long list of free summer camps (not online) for teenagers and I thought it would be an interesting alternative way of researching what is out there for teenagers. These camps are to encourage students in different areas.
