I am professional teacher and I know that parents are always wanting to know where they can find free educational materials for their children - either to extend their learning or as a way to support their learning at school or as an online home school resource When I started as a teacher, http://www.timetoteach.co.uk was a really innovative site, and lots of teachers used it to find lots of resources. When I made it, it was to stop every teacher re-making their own materials. This website was perfect for those students who wanted to find a virtual school game. However, as time has gone on, other, more impressive websites have been developed, all of them offering free resources for schools and online home school resources. Where can I find great maths games? My favourite fun site, which I often use in my classroom is Free games from Learning Clip and you need to register to play the games, but they are really fun - and as it is FREE, I am sure you will! Where can I find all the free teaching materials I need in one place There is a really great Primary site - the man who built it collects all the great links from all over the Internet and then presents them all in one place. It is sure to contain your perfect online home school resource. Check out the Woodland Junior School (UK) web site and your child will be able to focus on different parts of their English, Maths and Science, and play games which focus on different areas of the curriculum. My students really enjoy this site. Where can I download thousands of resources? There is a child friendly site, quite unlike anything else I have seen - Thousands of free resources from Sparklebox where a creative artist has uploaded thousands of different resources - when you come, I hope your printer is full of coloured ink, as all over the site, you will see something which is perfect for this or that... and before you know it, you are up to your knees in paper masks and counting lines! Where can I find great worksheets? My final contribution for this particular page is for Primary Resources Worksheets which has thousands of teacher - made - but free to download worksheets - and the man is happy to accept anyone's worksheets - if they are of high quality.
