This is a great link – it has a range of different online courses that any home school could just pick up and run with. The BBC is famous for its high quality output : Here are a few of the online courses they are currently offering you. Basic Skills: If you need to improve your skills with words or numbers, try these interactive games and activities. Cookery courses: This online course will help you to improve your knowledge of cookery and food safety. Environmental studies: Your chance to follow the story across open oceans and into the deep abyss, with seven interactive challenges. How to be a gardener: Join Alan Titchmarsh for an eight-part course in the basics of gardening. The whole page is packed full of interesting courses you can follow along with – all for free and all well explained and interesting. Your child will be given a chance to explore all sorts of issues and think of all kinds of solutions. The courses, while they are not accredited in anyway, so will not bring you any certificates, are written by highly qualified people and the BBC is an excellent source of information on account of it being the British Broadcasting Corporation.
I also found on the Internet, another site with interesting Online home school courses (some paid for, some free). The best free spelling online home school course was Basic Cozy Spelling Course - it breaks down spelling into easy to manage lessons – there are a total of 30 in the course, and it has suggested activities of each of the lessons and what to do on each day. Each lesson has a range of activities that will help to promote multiple intelligence learning.
