When we decided to research this topic, we found that the best first stop was Google – there were lots of high quality resources.

However - we did find one website which stood out from the crowd.

I would particularly recommend this online set of Sunday school lessons. I am an experienced teacher and I know what my young students and older students would respond to. They don’t want to be actively taking on a message; it is a more drip – drip effect that has the longest lasting impact.

So what makes this site so special? For a start it is already used in other 130 countries, and so you can rest assured you are not going to be the only people using this site. In addition the site has a great page ranking of 4 – which is a brilliant indicator. This tells you that this is a highly respected site, it has been around for quite a while and other websites, such as this one, feel it is of such good quality, that it is worth linking to.

If you are looking for free teaching aids and great ideas – this site will help every Sunday school teacher. In addition you can read their customers positive views on their products. If you want to become a full member, it is only $36 a year – a fraction of the cost of their competition.

This site has been further improved by them building a sister site – with the link on the home page of the above link – for older children. The lessons were well thought out and would provide a great stimulus for discussion.

If you visit the site, be sure to visit the teaching aids tab on the top of the page. This gives lessons in attendance, behavior management, the classroom environment, class participation, lesson preparation, review and memorization and story telling. This website will save you hours upon hours of preparation and it will also keep the stories and activities fresh and exciting for your pupils.

The song section was also good – the site has taken popular children songs, and then written catch religious songs about them. It helps children to learn the Ten Commandments and also they provide you with sample music so you can see how the words and music go together. I will certainly be book marking this page and using it in my Religious Lessons at school.
