University of Phoenix Online Degrees
Wanting to know more about the University of Phoenix online degrees? This university has over 100 online degree courses. It is one of the largest, and fastest growing universities in the the country, and it does allow you to complete an online degree at your own pace. It does offer Associate, Bachelor or Master degree in almost any discipline. Is the University of Phoenix accredited? Its own web page states that the 'University of Phoenix is approved to operate in most U.S. states and other countries, either through licensure, registration, general or specific approvals, consent or exemption.'. In addition, when I checked it on your behalf at the US department of education, it was also listed there as an accredited online university. I have read lots of webpages claiming that it is not - but it depends on the source of the information. If the US education department informs me that it is accredited, I tend to believe it. Why study for a University of Phoenix online degree? This university does allow you to study when you want, and it does help you gain financial aid to help you cover your course. By studying a degree online, you can keep your normal job, and use this to help finance your studies. A great thing about this university is that it still has campuses across 38 states as well as in Canada, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. So you can still use their facilities, meet the lecturers face to face, and use a typical university facility. The study labs, computer centres, and libraries are available nearly any time of the week, and the writing centre even has an automated system that will review your essays for correct grammar and usage - or of course, you could just let (Microsoft Word do it for you in the comfort of your own home). A word of warning however, from the hundreds of reviews I read before writing this page. I suspect that the University of Phoenix is not too fussy about who it accepts onto its courses, as it wants to give everyone a fair chance to succeed. It is up to you to stop and seriously think, 'Am I really ready to study at a higher level?'. If you had difficulty passing your normal school diploma, or are really busy with your life and your career, you are almost certain to find that adding a degree course to your day, will almost certainly be too much. I have heard that for some of the University of Phoenix Online degrees, you will be expected to produce one piece of long writing per day. I cannot of course confirm if this is true as in another review on the same site, they claim you had as long as you needed to complete each piece of work. In an independent review site (

) the university scored 2.83 / 5. If you read the reviews however, you will see that they are of two main types - lots scored it 5/5 for its quality and the professionalism of the staff, while another half scored the same place as 1/5 for the same criteria. I suspect a lot of it was due to the individual courses and how ready the students were to work and have the qualities needed to pass online (a much tougher choice than studying with others at a college). Their 'interesting fact of the day' was that lots of people were looking for the university by using the term 'University of Pheonix online degrees' - which kind of makes me think of those who later scored the college a 1/5...
